River Bend Art is a local art project that collaborates with students to create a sculptural installation along the Chippewa River in Eau Claire in response to areas of flooding. We invite students to take part in the making and placing of sculptures along the riverbank in order to process ideas about loss and rebirth in flood zones. The final installing will take place Saturday, September 8, in which the community can come install the sculptures and walk the Chippewa River State Trail to experience the work.
